C-Newbies Group.

Welcome here! This is the website of the #c-newbies-Channel at irc.freenode.net.

Language

About the channel

When I was still a programming newbie, I (Xjs) have looked for programming help the other day (just too bad I don't recall for what I needed the help). However, I haven't found anything, especially not in IRC. This has repeated a few times, until I decided to found an own channel, which is #c-newbies.

Administrative members and bots

If you aren't sure who to ask when you're having problems in the channel: the actual moderators have operator status or voice. They won't tolerate bad manners (and I hope, the other's won't either).

Actually administrative members: Last update: 10/19/2008

Bots

Nopaste

Please paste source code, logs, terminal output and other stuff that doesn't belong directly into the conversation to paste.lisp.org (link leads to the "new paste" form). The lisppaste bot sends a corresponding notice to the channel (if nobody broke it again).

Programming languages

Though the channel's called C-Newbies, we don't specialize on certain programming languages. If somebody's there who knows the language, he will sure like to help the others who need the help. Just ask!

Web-Access

There's a web interface for IRC (also our #c-newbies channel). Hint: click "Advanced" to set NickServ password, Realname, etc. Please select #c-newbies in the channel list, don't use the standard channel.

Trivia

I hope many of you will come here, I need any help I can get.

Greetings, Xjs!
